Who We Are
About Sesame Organisation
Sesame Organisation was previously known as End Violence and Racism Against ESEA Communities (EVR). We are a culturally competent mental health service provider and we employ intersectional approaches to educate on, address, and prevent structural racism and inequalities targeting East and Southeast Asian communities in the UK. We are registered as SESAME Organisation CIC (13279897).
Our Mission
Operating as a registered CIC (Community Interest Company) since March 2021, committed to addressing structural racism and inequalities impacting East and Southeast Asian communities
Supporting the mental wellbeing of members of the ESEA communities, recognizing the interconnectedness between mental health and systemic inequalities
Emphasising coalition building with sister ESEA community organisations and those tackling identity-based violence
Advocating against all forms of racism and discrimination, encompassing anti-Blackness, Islamophobia, transphobia, homophobia, misogyny, ableism, ageism, and classism. We adopt an intersectional approach, fostering solidarity and allyship with other marginalised communities while actively challenging racism within our own
